Excellent care provided by everyone at the hospital. My room was clean and comfortable and the medical team provided all the care and support I needed whilst undergoing major surgery. I would highly recommend this hospital.

My stay at the hospital was only short, within 6 or 7 hours of admission I was well enough after surgery to be discharged. While I was in the hospital however the care, attention and support given to me was faultless. The facilities were modern comfortable and clean and the staff were lovely. Surgery is an anxious time for anyone but the Derby Nuffield hospital made sure my stay was as comfortable and and relaxed as possble.

I found the was too busy to answer you when you called. They kept saying that I would have to wait. I was not often asked if I needed anything and my leg stockings was not changed for three days.

Following inguinal hernia surgery I stayed at the hospital overnight to be monitored. As a precaution I had DVT equipment attached to my legs as I could not move for some hours due to the spinal anaesthetic. For some reason I experienced acute discomfort in the heels of my feet for several hours. The attention of the nursing staff throughout this time during the night was outstanding and the did all they could to alleviate my discomfort which, happily, subsided by early morning. It's at times of personal difficulty that one remembers the care and kindness of those in attendance and they were second to none. As a footnote, the standard of the breakfast and lunch was first class, as was the service. I have no recommendations for improvement to a five star service

I have stayed in the Nuffield a couple of times now and every time I have felt that I have received the highest standard of care. The hospital itself and the facilities within are always clean and tidy and the staff are A*!

Nuffield feels cared for, well maintained. Its a user friendly place. the staff are smiley and helpful. Its very people focussed rather that process oriented.
